GLOBAL WEEK OF ACTION AGAINST SMALL ARMS SOMALIA 2005.

7th June is Great day for the security of Somalia... Mogadishu (Green Leaf for democracy-GLED Somalia) 7th June is great day in Somalia and GLED is taking part the withdrawal of the Militias' Roadblocks inside Mogadishu those were the most risk on the population and the campaign to take this come after the Warlords and politicians met yesterday and signed to take their raodblocks that they take illegal money from the Civilians and the passenger cars.
The roadblocks in Mogadishu are 43 check points and atleast 7 were taken and the program is going on still. as some of GLED WOA coordinating Team who are with the Government authorities those are taking the roadblocks in 7Th June 2005 reported. GLED is supporting them technically and is mobilizing the people to participate the voluntary restoration of Mogadishu security.
the authorities those are participating the action include:-
1. Osman Elmi Boqore the Deputy of the Parliament.
2. Mohamed Qanyare Afrah The National Security Minister.
3. Abdulahi Hassan Ganey Firimbi The Mayor of Mogadishu
4. Mohamoud Abdulahi Jama Sifir The deputy Prime minister
5. Bootaan Esse Alin Minister for the Rehabilitation of the Militias.
6. Yusuf Mohamed Siad Indha adde The great warlord of Lower Shabelle region
7. Asha Ahmed Abdalla Member of the Parliament. and other officers.
the population are supporting the action remove the roadblocks inside the capital city of Mogadishu and it is the best step of the security in Somalia since 1991 when the government of Somalia was ousted from the Authority by rebels. "today is great day, we are working for security, when we were working to worsen it" said Mohamed Qanyare Afrah, the Minister for the National Security in Somalia and when he was talking the Bakara Market Check Point that was under control of him.
Qanyare adviced his militias to keep the security of the area untill the security forces will hand over the place. Mohamoud Abdulahi Jama Sifir, the deputy of the prime minister "when these Roadblocks are taken we will succeed good life and security, but if we keep them we keep risks to our selves" he added, "we will manage the militias and prepare them as soldiers if they need, or we will rehabilitate them to reintegrate the community".
"the initiatives to take the roadblocks is the best step to restore the security and we will support morally and technically" said Abukar Albadri, The coordinator of GLOBAL WEEK OF ACTION AGAINST SMALL ARMS SOMALIA 2005. "we will see another Somalia free From gun and Militias, if we work hard and keep to take the raodblocks to save our infants" he added. the restoration of the security of Mogadishu is the cure for the disease that Somalia had for fiveteen years when the central government was ousted from the position by un planned Rebels those had program to oust the government but didn't have a plane of the post war. .....................................................................................................................................
