Zone 5 handball election congress ends in Ouagadougou
The election congress of Africa Zone five handball federations has concluded at the Palace Hotel in the capital of Burkina Faso Ouagadougou on Tuesday, where Somalia was represented handball Federation secretary General Nur Maye Osman.
The president of zone five Mr. F.K Paul who first addressed at the congress gave detailed information about his body’s achievements in terms of organizing competitions and other tangible successes since he came to office. He also outlined the developmental programs of the federation in the years to come.
“After the president’s address the election process starter and there were two candidates: President F. K Paul and Ahmed Mohamed of Djibouti---However F. K Paul got 4 votes out of the 7 votes casted while Ahmed Mohamed of Djibouti got 3 votes, so F.K Paul was re-elected” said Somali Handball Federation secretary General Nur Maye Osman.
“Actually we have had a very fantastic zone five presidential election and before the election we had long discussions about how we can promote a very professional handball in our region and we hope big changes of developments to come” secretary General Nur Maye Osman noted.
He said that today on The African Handball federation annual congress will be held in Ouagadougou. “The continental congress will also discuss more about the enhancement of handball across the Africa continent” the Somali Handball Federation Secretary General added.
